Shutters are a great option for French doors and Patio doors. Because they’re made to measure, all door sizes can be worked with to create you a secure, long-lasting and easy to clean shutter.

Below is an example from a recent fitting in Worcester, where we fitted a white shutter to the patio door, and also two smaller window shutters next to it. Before the fitting – the windows are beautiful and we wanted to ensure our customer could still see their design after the shutter fitting.
After the shutters were fitted to the French door and each window beside it. With the French door shutters open, a large amount of light enters the room.
With the French doors shutters closed, but the louvres open on the top half to let light through, a cosy but private space is achieved. We kept the louvres open on all top windows to ensure our customer could still see the beautiful stained glass pattern, but they can be closed during the winter to preserve heat if needed.

French Door / Patio Sliding Door shutters are a brilliant option for covering large areas of glass and sliding doors, as curtains and blinds can (and often do!) cause unnecessary bulk and potential danger for children around what could be a beautiful feature in the room. We fit a lot of these shutters on sliding patio doors for this reason. They also add an extra layer of security from intruders as they are another barrier to entry. They are most popular in white, although we have begun to fit a growing number in grey which we find to really compliments the modern, sleek look of many newer homes in the local area.
